Dick White writes that he and Marian drove to Indianapolis to attend the annual meeting of the International Society of Arboriculture to accept the group's highest award, the Award of Merit. He sent a copy of the citation for possible use in the "Roar." On the return trip, Dick and Marian stopped in Richmond, Ind., for a visit with an old friend they had not seen for 32 years the widow of the head of the School of Journalism at Rutgers when they were there, and later the dean of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Then they went on to Kettering, Ohio, to spend the weekend with their son and his family.
Your secretary had a most pleasant chat with George Daniels when he phoned to acknowledge the class birthday card. He and Helen are enjoying life in New York City.
Patty Koedding, your secretary's daughter, now lives only ten minutes away and has visited Kendal with two of her sons one a freshman at Drexel, the other a captain in the army. The latter was with his wife and son. Also son Clark '57 and his wife were down from Middlebury, Vt., where he is a family doctor. Grand to have a devoted family!
