President McLaughlin, interviewed by The Dartmouth on February 7, said that he felt "terrific" as he continued to regain full activity after undergoing a minor heart operation at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, in January. The operation was an angioplasty, a new method of treating angina, and was declared a complete success. Shortly after it, the president made an alumni speaking trip to Florida and there had a chance to get some rest.
