George "Gugger" Fiske wrote in February: "October 3 to 5 I was in Wellesley for the 'Golden Jubilee' of Babson College. I was the class of '23, then known as Babson Institute. The campus consisted of a building opposite the Wellesley Hills R.R. Station, an apartment house now. Fifteen in my class. . . . I am still in a wheelchair for over three years now trying to get over a paralyzing stroke on my left side. . . . Got to the Dartmouth alumni luncheon on the 21st at the Clearwater Country Club. Club president Bing Whitaker presided." Gugger flew from Tampa to Boston alone with his walker. He had never flown before.

Bill Carter wrote on March 1: "A 'Looking Back' section in the class notes is a GREAT idea! Do give us more. The interesting 1923 account of Jake Gorton's prowess as a flier reminded Laura and me of a most delightful visit we had with Jake and his handsome son Bill shortly before we left for Vermont in 1980. . . . Jake came to attend the ceremonies at Luke A.F.B. when his son Bill, a brigade general, was inducted as commander of the base. . . .By the way, how did Adolphus W. become Jake'?"

From Ralph Sunergren on March 10. have the sorrowful mission to report that beloved wife Mildred passed away March 5. My two 'children,' to whom she was their stepmother, are nearby and giving me their priceless support."

Trueman Loeblein's wife Beth wrote Al Frey: "True is pretty crippled with arthritis, hands and feet. Gets around with a cane. He enjoys reading the MAGAZINE and the Alpha Delt news magazine."

Looking Back" to January 1924: "PREXY NEWTON RETURNS AFTER VARIED EXPERIENCES IN EUROPE. When tht Aquitania warped into dock, Carl Newton stepped off the gangplank after two and a half years in Europe. Graduate of Oxford University, member of the Inner Temple, Inns of Court, burdened with degrees of B.A. in jurisprudence and B.C.L. is a resume of his scholastic achievement in England. . . . Tink Lombard was married September 11 to Esther Marion Peterson of Jamestown, N.Y. Tink is now working for the American Telephone Company at 195 Broadway. . . . Mr. and Mrs. Edward Everett White of Belmont, Vt., have announced the marriage of their daughter Rachel to Sherm Adams." No more room for "Looking Back" this month.
