We receive all the bad news about class- mates, but are there not many of you who could send in some pleasant accounts of yourselves.' Are you traveling? Are you enjoying some form of interesting activity? Do you see any of your old friends in a get-together? If so, please let us know. We wish to share any item with our

We have lost two more good classmates James Fox and Charles Downer. A portion of a letter from Martha Fox, daughter of Jim Fox, is worthy of inclusion in these notes. Here it is- "My father was a loyal and devoted graduate of Dartmouth, class of 1917. Until the end of his life he enjoyed the newsletters and the ALUMNI MAGAZINE, and he continued to follow the sports teams with interest. He appreciate what Dartmouth had given to him, but Dart mouth, too, was fortunate in having such a faithful alumnus."

Philip Woodwell writes as follows: Virgin ia and I are still getting around at the galloping age of 88. I can't read and I can't drive, thetypewriter keys are smoky, and the ratio good days and bad is not improving Horace's carpe diem, for it now means carpe diem bonum since many other days are not worth carping about. Still, it is true that 'Every day is a good day if you can look; at it, we go on looking even through a murk." That is the spirit and more of us should have it!

So long for now. Keep up your health, morale, and interest!
