Doug Greenwood told me he would sponsor a "shortest column of the month" award for the November issue. I am submitting the following as my entry. Some old news, some recent stuff, but it is all I have.

Al Ryan has set up his own law office after a long and well-publicized stint in the Justice Department. I'm still anticipating reading his book. Anyhow, the address is 1700 K Street N.W., Washington, D.C.

Greg Eden is still in the Washington area, too. I got him one night when his Alumni Fund defenses were down. He gave both do- nation and news. He is still "fanning the campfire" of Eden Hannon and Company, specializing in federal project financing. But things must be doing something more than smoldering; he has a corps of 15 professionals, up from two when he started this venture four years ago. And though Greg has returned to bachelorhood, he still is close to Elizabeth (four) and Allison (seven), who visit from Baltimore.

Tim Barnard's law practice is glowing, too (he reports no one has sued him yet for malpractice!) in Philadelphia. He and Marj are still "down on the farm" with the ducks, chickens, and cows. And out on the West Coast, Chuck Waddell has moved south, from Woodland Hills to Laguna Hills, Calif. Chuck has recently joined Butterfield Capital Corporation in Irvine.

It is with sadness that I report the passing of Jim Moreno last August of pneumonia. Doug Greenwood has graciously offered to write the obituary, which will appear in this or a subsequent issue. Laura has requested that classmates who have special remembrances of Jim to send her pictures, clippings, anecdotes, and other memories to fill a scrapbook for their children. You may send them to me, and I will forward them, or directly to Mrs. James P. Moreno, 2 Plymouth Road, Chappaqua, NY 10514. The class extends its heartfelt sympathy to Laura and the children.

A bronze plaque has been placed in the toum square in Marblehead, Mass., in honor of Duncan Sleigh '67, who died in Vietnam while serving in the Marine Corps.
