Remember the name Bryan Randall? The 6'0" freshman guard from Buffalo, N.Y., figures to play a prominent role in the latest attempt to rebuild the men's basketball program.
Randall was the top recruit of former coach Reggie Minton. And after watching him in practice, new coach Paul Cormier thinks Randall has the ability to be one of the Ivy League's best guards within two years.
Randall averaged 18 points and nine assists per game last year at Sweet Home High School in Buffalo. He was recruited by Northeastern, Penn State, and William and Mary, but he passed up athletic scholarship opportunities from each of those schools in favor of Dartmouth. "My mother really wanted me to come to Dartmouth," Randall says. "The prestige of the school also helped convince me to come here."
