Our 30th reunion is now just a few days away, and I am delighted to tell you that we are going to have a super turnout of classmates. If, for any reason, you have been putting off the decision to attend, please pick up the phone and let one of the reunion committee members know you'll be there. It's not too late. It is going to be a great gathering and lots of exciting events are planned. Please be part of this big Dartmouth family affair. Look for the impressive '54 gonfalon (look that one up!) that will be flying high at the top of Tuck Drive from June 11-14.

An impressive brochure arrived in our mail box recently, entitled "Just what is this thing called power and how do I use it?" Closer examination revealed that Schuyler "Sky"Grey has recently been answering that question for thousands of listeners across the country, while challenging them to plug into their own personal power. Sky has made a career of presenting seminars which relate directly to effective communication techniques, or, more appropriately, E = MC2 (effectiveness = meaningful communication between two people). Sky uses proven self-esteem techniques which show people how they can reach their own goals and take control of their lives through a better understanding of themselves. The result? According to Sky, "a positively infectious leap in confidence - and highly-improved communication skills that truly pay off." I wish Sky were joining us for our 30th reunion and could be a part of our seminar program.

Dick Davidoff told me the good news that Bill Kass has now become a member of his law firm and that the company will now be known as Kantor, Davidoff, Wolfe, and Kass. Dick and Bill will both be attending the 30th reunion.

We have word from Boston that Don Keller has joined the investment management firm of Rollert and Sullivan as senior vice president. Don lives in Needham, Mass., with his: wife Jo Ann. The Kellers have a son, Don, who is class of '79.

Paul Wisdon, vice president for college relations at Lafayette College, was invited last summer to serve on the first national Fulbright selection committee for higher-education administrators. This was a nice honor for Paul, who recently received the top national award for improvement in institutional advancement programs. Paul is responsible for the offices of alumni affairs, development, and public information/community relations at Lafayette. Paul lives with his family in Easton, Pa.

We are pleased to pass along the information that the annual award for the "International Distinguished Graduate" in the Accredited Advisor Insurance Program (AAI) has been won by Douglas Hoskins Jr., CPCU, AAI, vice president of Owen Incorporated, York, Pa. The award goes to the person who receives the highest grade average in the Insurance Institute of America's examinations leading to the AAI designation. Nice going, Doug! He lives with his wife Joyce in Shiremanstown, Pa. They have four children: Julia, Elizabeth, Douglas III, and Margaret.

David B. Levine, head of the scoliosis program at New York's prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery, was the subject of an indepth feature story in a recent Horizon Medical Magazine about how doctors are utilizing the latest techniques in treating patients with curvature of the spine. David, an othopedic surgeon, is preeminent in developing new procedures for this delicate and lengthy scoliosis surgery.

Glenn Wesselmann was recently appointed president and chief executive officer of the Saint John Hospital in Detroit, Mich. He had served as executive vice president of Saint John since 1979. Glenn, who resides in Grosse Pointe Shores, was formerly with the Memorial Hospital for Cancer and Allied Disease in New York City. He is also serves as trustee of the Southeastern Michigan Hospital Council.

Your class officers will have met in Hanover in early May. A full report on all class activities will be presented at the official class meeting to be held in conjunction with the 30th reunion on Wednesday morning, June 13. While touring the environs prior to Class Officers Weekend, Sandy and I spotted a sign at a gas station in Fairlee, Vt., that succinctly stated: "Courteous Self Service."

See you at the 30th!
