Countdown to reunion June 14-17 with lots of news to report. First and foremost: Don't forget the Alumni Fund. Make your biggest-ever pledge today toward 1959's quarter-century fund-raising challenge. We need your support!

Chuck Lamb has been repatriated from the Philippines after several years in the Far East with Citibank. Chuck is now vice president at Citicorp (USA) Inc., based in Iselin, N.J. Welcome home, Chuck.

Tom Seessel, another New Jersey resident, writes from Hopewell: "Come fall, I will have two kids at Dartmouth - Adam '85 is a senior editor of The Dartmouth and a member of the Aires; Jessica will be entering the class of '88. My wife Diane has joined the Gabrielsen Group, specialists in alcoholism, as a staff counselor. As a philanthropy consultant, my recent clients include the Ford Foundation and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation."

From Durham, N.H., Doug Wheeler reports that "this is a busy second semester of an academic year here at UNH. At midterm break, I take off with Katie, my wife and coleader, to lead a study tour of Portugal for ten days on behalf of UNH's internationally-famous Interhostel program. I remain fully aware that I am responsible for a poem for the 25th reunion in June: Have faith and wish me luck!"

Read Heydt and eldest son, Charlie, (age six) plan to attend the 25th reunion. Read is currently serving as assistant minister at Trinity Episcopal Church in Toledo, Ohio, and says he enjoys his downtown urban ministry.

John Orcutt continues his rise to fame as principal for Sasaki Associates, Watertown, Mass., the "multi-disciplinary design firm with more than 200 professional and technical employees providing planning, architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, urban design, civil engineering, and environmental services to a broad range of public and private clients across the United States."

A lengthy letter from Dirk Frankenberg reveals that he continues to be director of the Marine Science Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. "As such, I teach, chair a graduate degree in marine science, and direct the off-campus Institute of Marine Science on the North Carolina coast. My wife runs a successful antique business which takes her on international buying trips. We have two children: Elizabeth is in the Honors Program at the University of North Carolina and is currently using her National Merit Scholarship funds to attend the University of Paris for a semester; and Eben is finishing high school where he is first in his class. Unfortunately, a long-scheduled European trip will preclude my attending reunion."

Cliff Lamberg-Karlovsky is in his 17th year at Harvard University, where he is a professor and the director of the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology. He was recently elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, "which some hold in high honor," he quips. Cliff's wife enjoys working at the museum while their two boys are attending college.

Ubed Bamahry updates us with his latest address in Indonesia: Complex Pertamina Simpruk R-2, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta.

Wally May continues to reside in Minneapolis and boasts that he and Cathy have been married for almost 20 years. They have two children, Kate and Maggie, who are teenagers in high school. Wally works with Piper, Jaffray, and Hopwood Incorporated, a regional broker-dealer, where he is marketing director.

Jim Longcope writes from Harvard, Mass., that he is practicing psychiatry in Concord, Mass., in a small private group and at the Emerson Hospital. He and his wife Marylou have three children: Daniel (12), Nathan (9), and Timothy (3). In his free time, Jim designs metal sculpture "mostly with found pieces which I weld together. At present I am working on an eight-foot dandelion made of rusted railroad bolts and stainless-steel welding rods."

Jim Neff writes from Canfield, Ohio: "I returned to my hometown after serving in the Coast Guard and getting married. I have my own independent insurance agency and am active in church and civic affairs. I am serving my second term on the city council and am presently council president. In my spare time, I enjoy sailing and fishing. See you at reunion."

Tom Magill works as a private practitioner in general and vascular surgery at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. His daughter Cathy graduates from Duke this year and son David is Harvard '86. "I enjoy gardening, tennis, bridge, wine, and looking out the window - not necessarily in that order!"

Bob Perron brings us up to date on his whereabouts: "After Dartmouth I did graduate work in photography at Yale which, after receiving my master's in fine arts, led me abroad on a traveling fellowship to Switzerland. Back in the U.S., I began as a free-lance photographer in 1963 and gradually became specialized in architectural photography (everything from House Beautiful to MechanixIllustrated) and aerial photography of seacoasts. Last year I traveled over 30,000 miles back and forth across the U.S. in a singleengine Cessna. My pictures have appeared in more than 60 magazines. My wife Diana and I have a daughter, Sarah, who is in her final year at North Carolina School of the Arts, and our son Andrew is attending Wake Forest University. Our home is in Branford, Conn., and I have an office in New York City."

Gary Korenman lives in Manhattan with his wife Ella and two sons, Eric (16), and Jeff (12), both of whom are at Riverdale Country School. Gary is a board-certified neurologist on the staff at Mount Sinai Hospital and Medical School and at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, where he is the associate attending physician in neurology. "I consult in neurology to the U.S. Department of Labor, Con Edison, the Social Security Administration, and three geriatric centers. Our family leisure time is spent going to concerts where Eric is first violinist and Jeff plays clarinet. On other occasions, I spend time at the Marshall Chess Club, where I am an active member and can be found every Wednesday evening in tournament games."

Bill Pettway states that "things are going my way! For the past several years, I have been a distributor for Amoco Oil Company and business has been very good. We also own and operate some 12 convenience stores under the name of 'Handy Andy Partners.' I will celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary next year with lovely wife Susan Walder, who graduated from Bennett Junior College. We have three fine sons: William, 21, Daniel, 18, and Thompson, 15. Our free time finds us enjoying the out-of-doors at our family-retreat farm which we share with our horses. White-water canoeing and a trip down the Colorado River highlight our outdoor activities. We can't wait to see how young we all still are at reunion!"

Fred Luedke tells us, "Katy and I have enjoyed 21 years of life together. Daughter Liz is a freshman at Wellesley and son John a sophomore in high school here in Milwaukee. We really enjoy skiing, swimming, canoeing, traveling the world, and our family and friends. My work has been mostly entrepreneurial: I am currently working on a franchise prototype as well as continuing in my management-consulting practice."

Dave Marshall writes that he is at "the college and boarding-school tuition stage of life, having just passed through the period of the orthodontist. Daughter Anne, 19, is a sophomore at Middlebury; Jennifer, 15, is at the Emma Willard School in Troy; and Brech, 16, is a junior at our local high school here in Pittsford, N.Y. Once more, could our Caroline, age 3, be the youngest offspring of the class? So Cynthia is back playing mother to a three-year-old and I am seeing, or planning to see, the Bunker Hill Monument, Gettysburg Battlefield, etc., etc. all over again. Ah, but this time we go much more cheaply two senior citizen tickets and one child ticket! I am still with Mobil Chemical Company and enjoying at last living in one location for more than two years (here since 1976)."

That's it. See you at reunion.
