Dartmouth has begun the search for its seventh men's basketball coach in the last 17 years. In late April, Dartmouth athletic director Ted Leland announced that Reggie Minton, who led the Green to its most successful season in the past five years, will be returning to Air Force as the head coach after only one season at Dartmouth.

The timing was less than ideal for the Big Green whose basketball fortunes seemed to have turned the tide under Minton. This past season, Minton led Dartmouth to the first road-win in 25 years over Pennsylvania and a double overtime victory against Princeton.

After 13 years as an assistant at Air Force, Minton was offered the head job when Hank Egan's contract was not renewed. "This is a personal decision," said Minton. "When everything is said and done, I spent a lot of years at Colorado Springs. My family grew up there and it's what we call home." He will remain in Hanover until the search is completed for a successor.
