A look at some of Dartmouth's newest grads
The Class of 1984, 1017 members strong, is brimming with talented, energetic people who have achieved quite a bit in four years on the Plain. Thus, it was with some trepidation that I agreed to write this article and select nine of my peers as representative of what the class has accomplished. After consulting with more than 40 administrators, professors, and students, I came up with a list of names which, with the help of my editor, was pared down to the nine people profiled below. These students, I think, represent a pretty fair cross-section of the intellectual, athletic, cultural, and social activities of our class. Certainly there are others who deserve to be featured in this type of article and I regret any oversight because of lack of space. To anyone still irritated that their favorite choice was not included, feel free to commiserate with my mother who still can't understand why her son was not chosen.
