Once again I am sorry to report I have not received much news from members of the class of '14. However, I find others read the column and write about past members and remembrances of '14. A member of the class of '32 writes of his cousin, one Fred Fraser, whose daughter is married to a minister and living in New Hampshire. He also wrote of Paul W."Red" Loudon, who was a close friend of his family. He has numerous letters from Red when he served in the service in World War I. The writer said, "I waited on the '14 dinner in College Hall and got to see many of those 'old men' who had been out of Dartmouth for 15 years!" Another letter comes from a member of the class of '42 who worked with and enjoyed the friendship of "Gus" Fuller when he was director of marketing for Jones and Laughlin Steel. Dudley Colby's son, Norman, writes that he still has his father's cane prominently displayed in the reading room, complete with dozens of initials carved thereon. A nice long letter, with enclosures, arrived a few days ago from Gail Gardner's wife, and I will report on that next time. Gail has problems with seeing and hearing and walking, but his mind is as alert as ever. Hope to hear from more of you before the year is out.
