Well, fans, it's that time of year again. Cool, clear days, leaves changing colors, and, of course, football. After last year's prognostications, I will not attempt to jinx the team again. Instead I will merely hope for an undefeated season and the Lambert Trophy. Never let it be said that the members of the class of 1975 set their sights too low. In any event, despite my moving around the country, there is something unique about the autumn which reminds me of all the special feelings I still have for Hanover. Perhaps one business trip to New Hampshire can be arranged.

I received a very nice letter from Sergeant Rock - sorry, Lon Cross. The most unfortunate part about the letter was that it was written on Wharton stationery. Really, Lon, you of all people. Don't worry though, Lon is simply obtaining an M.B.A. Apparently, he is working towards a teaching position at West Point. Economics, I believe. Lon is, of course, in Philadelphia with his wife, Wilma, and looks forward to meeting up with any '75s who are in the area.

I recently attempted to contact SuzanneMetzel, who is at Phelan, Pope, and John, Ltd., in Chicago. Coming up empty there, I left a distress message on her answering machine. More on this later, I'm sure. I had a little better luck with JeffSassorossi, who called me. Jeff always was pretty good at that. He called to wish Eliza and me a happy continuation to our lives, now that we have moved. Things , seem to be fine with the Sassorossis, although I understand that they are having trouble getting anywhere from Sienna. Something about the chains not being on the tires yet.

John Potts also was lucky enough to be at home to receive one of my calls. John has been hibernating in Rolling Meadows, Ill., for the last several years and admits that I may be the first Dartmouth contact in 1985. He manages a fairly hectic life as a government lobbyist in the employ of Household International. John lives with his wife, Cheryl, and his son and daughter, ages six and eight. John states that since there was no other kind to have, they quit.

The only other piece of news with which I am armed is that Dan Kenslea is now with Goldman, Sachs. I believe that he is in Boston and that this may be ancient news. However, any news is better than no news, and I might as well write about Dan anyway.

I hope I get the opportunity to see you on the Hanover Plain this fall, if possible. If not, the clear, crisp days and my remembrances will suffice.
