All quiet on the southern front as we move into the holidays. Most of us are probably somewhere between paying off last summer's vacation and planning next year's. I, due to astute financial planning, am slowly amortizing Am/Ex charges from junior year 'tails at the Hanover Inn bar. This month's news is kind of thin, but like President Josh always says, "It's quality, not quantity, that counts."

Cynthia Pinkos writes from Hoboken, N.J., that she is in her third year at Columbia Law School. She congratulates Sharon Lowenthal for finishing the Boston Marathon.

According to The New York Times, JohnHoward was married to Elizabeth Smith in late June in Riverdale, N.Y. After college, John got his M.B.A. at the University of Connecticut. He currently is an institutional equity salesman at Keefe, Brugette, and Woods in Hartford. Elizabeth is a Trinity College graduate and a sales representative for American Airlines, also in Hartford, Conn.

Finally, Lenny Nichols writes that he received his master's of divinity in May from the Interdenominational Theological Center/Gannon Seminary in Atlanta. In June, he was ordained as a deacon by the East Ohio United Methodist Church and became pastor of two churches in Ashland and Orrville, Ohio, shortly thereafter. Lenny, anytime you visit Sodom and Gomorrah (a.k.a. South Florida) perhaps you could throw cold water on some of our "Miami Vice." Best of luck.

That's it. Be good and please write.
