Greetings, new hounds, and welcome to the '85 edition of Prattlings from Partyland. Since there is a surprising surfeit of mail this month, let's go to the news.

A big development for Lee Englebardt according to the October 1, 1984, New YorkTimes, Lee was married to Jane Sanders, an associate with an art consulting firm in New York. Lee is a management consultant with Strategy Associates in New York as well as a lawyer (B.C. '79) and author of two books: You Have a Right and Living Together: What'sthe Law? Best of luck to Jane and Lee.

Next up, Naomi Baline Kleinman writes from West Hartford, Conn., that she and husband Joel are the proud parents of Aaron, born August 7,1984. Everyone's enjoying the new experience of parenting and babying. Noami is back to work in the investment area at Connecticut Mutual.

Kelley White and her husband, David Low, also announced a new addition, Jennifer, born July 23 in Philadelphia.

Steve Bell and wife Ginny have signed a rookie, Caitlin Marie, born on December 21 and pre-registered for the class of 'O6. Off the baby beat and on to business: RobSaltzman has been appointed special counsel to the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services.

Jeff "Ball Down" Reed has joined with two other agents to form Hephaestus Corporation, specializing in crane and steel erection services in the Upper Valley area. Jeff and his cohorts recently branched out into recreational sports by investing in Whaleback Mountain, just down Interstate 89 from Hanover. They plan to add snowmaking, night skiing, and more lifts and trails. Jeff's two partners, Tom Kent '72 and Dave Clark '73, are also Dartmouth grads. Reports that PeterJeton will serve as the new mascot for Whaleback have been denied by unreliable sources.

That's it for this installment. Happy trails.
