Christmas '84 now being history, we thank you for your cards and letters. Seems odd but the larger the card, the lesser the news, while the smaller ones arrive crowded, even to the last words outside the envelope!

Your sec and Katie finally completed the trip which had been interrupted by last summer's hospitalization. A wool client querie in mock disbelief, "You mean you are going to try it again?" This time it was near perfect. A night with brother Reg followed by one with Jean and Dick Ziemer in Wyomissing, then on over the Chesapeake Bay BridgeTunnel to our son's lovely Williamsburg-style home in Virginia Beach and grandson Hunter. We always get to see Virge and Whitey Fuller, and I'm glad to report that in spite of her on-going dependence on the kidney machine she looked better than ever and is even driving again, though limited. Whitey continues his dog obedience school and has added two more Belgian sheepdogs to his fold quite a handful to take walking on a leash.

To the cards. Jan and Tom Nast were off to Phoenix to visit Tricia and family, where they rented a house for a month. Then to L.A. to their other daughter's and new grandson and back mid-February. Famous Santa Rugbug indicated problems and sadness. Marge had a bad kidney removed last April (so far A-OK), then, within six weeks of each other, she lost a sister and a brother. Oldest grandson Scott is a freshman at Deerfield. Rug was in Hanover for club officers meeting, consorting with Peg and Bandy Dwinnell, Floand Lanny Moore, and Barb and Hank Pierce but missed Lois and Bob Mulliken, who arrived late. He is still Santa-ing, now finishing his 21st year. Olive and Joe Tardiff's address is 4449 Poinciana Street, Lauderdale-by-theSea. Look 'em up, you Floridians!

Jean and Jim Luttrell say, "Aging but happy in our St. John island home." Hurricane Klaus supplied them with horrendous rain and horrendous mosquitos, as well as wrecking some friend's boats, but no problems for them. Come summer they intend to fly stateside to meet sixth grandchild. BarbiDouglass had one hip replaced in October successfully, with the second scheduled for January. She and Doug spent three days in Bangor at a Soil and Water convention, where Dougie retired as commissioner after many years. Their bed-and-breakfast business is overbooked by skiers this year.

We stopped to see Myrtle and Tom McIntyre last fall, missing her as her rheumatoid arthritis was in remission that day and she was "off with the girls." Their big home in Hampton has proven to be too much care, so it's for sale. They built a small condo in Tequesta, Fla., and are there January through April. Tom lives with the disadvantage of colostomy and has to also watch his heart. He was asked to make speeches during the recent election but steered clear of everything. Esther and Fred Mayo have been busy. Last spring they went to EPCOT, followed by an eight-day cruise through the islands, then rented a car in Miami to do the West Coast scene, visiting friends, including Teddie andSterl Atwater, who have a lovely home in Osprey at the South Bay Yacht Club. We received a nice invitation from Frank Danzig to visit them again which said Twila is stili selling gigantic homes in Beverly Hills but is giving it up soon to better enjoy other things.

We very much regret to report the untimely deaths of two of our adopted classmates, EdMartin and Harold pmith, whose obituaries will appear in this or'a subsequent issue. Also we have lost Sal Maggio. Our thoughts go out to their wives and children.

We have more news but no room!
