Among this month's news is word that Jim Walter has been elected vice president of Far West Federal Bank in Portland, Ore., and appointed manager of the bank's legal department. Jim joined the bank from the Bullivant, Wright law firm. The bank has assets of more than $2 billion and offices throughout Oregon. Jim is also a member of the board of trustees of the Oregon Symphony Association and president of the Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Multnomah Bar Association.
Christopher Crosby was elected a vice president of Temple, Barker and Sloan, Inc., a general management consulting firm in Lexington, Mass. For the past three years, Chris has been responsible for business development and project management for Decision Research Corporation, the firm's marketing research division. He also oversees the firm's interviewing operations in Brighton, Mass., and the activities of a segment of its research staff. Before joining the firm, he held senior marketing management positions with Trak, Inc., a supplier of cross-country ski equipment, and Television Audience Assessment, Inc. He and his wife, Kate, live in Concord, Mass., and have two sons, Alex and Will.
