Charlie Wrobel writes that all is well in balmy San Diego. Charlie is finishing his year of senior residency in neurosurgery at UC-San Diego and plans to journey to Bethesda, Md., for two years of research at the National Institutes of Health in the surgical neurology branch. He will then have a chief-resident year back in San Diego before making a belated entry into the real world somewhere around 1989. He notes that he hears from John Storella, who is in law school at the University of Virginia, and Richard Anderson, who is skating through medical school in Salt Lake City.
From the Alumni Office comes word that Blanche Jones married Charles Roberts last November in Chicago. Also from the office is a note saying that Ellen Mc-Laughlin Saturley has become a director of the firm of Hamblett and Kerrigan P.A. in Nashua, N.H.
Jeffrey Lyon has left the realm of radio and Portsmouth, N.H., for good Olde Cape Code, where he is starting a business magazine, Business Digest. Jeff and his family have settled in Hyannisport.
Bill Branch has been named a member of the Olean Advisory Board for the Northstar Bank of Rochester, N.Y. Bill is president of Iroquois Group and oversees the operations of a group of 160 insurance agencies in western New York. Bill lives in Olean with his wife, Barbara, and daughter Hilary.
Bill Polachek has finished his residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and is now practicing orthopedic surgery in Camp Hill, suburban Harrisburg, Pa. Lastly, Mark Adams has started a new assignment with the United States Southern Command at Quarry Heights, Panama. He is working in the research and analysis directorate.
