If you haven't already, please note the following dates on your 1987 calendar: Thursday, June 18, through Sunday, June 21, are the days of our 25th reunion.

Chairman Gene Gasbarro is ahead of schedule as far as planning is concerned but is on the lookout for any ideas and/or help that classmates might offer. He can be reached at his office, 401/274-0326 or home, 401/232-1821. In mid-April a reunion committee meeting was held in Providence, R.I., to discuss various aspects and specific projects connected with the reunion, especially , the reunion yearbook and multimedia presentation.

Carl Jaeger, Jere Hawkins, and GordyWilliamson are heading up the efforts on the yearbook project, which will entail a massive amount of data collection for all classmates. Each of you will be receiving questionnaires to help in this compilation, and your timely responses will be much appreciated. The yearbook itself will be published in the spring of 1987, and it is hoped it will help stimulate reunion attendance.

Ross Burkhardt discussed some preliminary ideas regarding the successor to his much acclaimed 20th reunion and multimedia slide presentation. Ross and wife Diane will both begin sabbaticals for a year starting this September and plan to tour the country doing research during the year. As a by-product, Ross will utilize the travels to contact and interview as many classmates as possible to gather input for the new reunion production. It is unanimously felt that his effort will be available on videotape to become a lasting memento for this biggest of class reunions. There was also discussion on look ing into the possibility of producing Ross's 1982 show on videotape for those classmates interested.

Bill Sadd will try to duplicate Jay Pierson's feat as reunion treasurer and have the 25th break even or make a small profit. Jay invested the money left over from the 20th in a money-market fund that now approaches $9,000, which gives the class a nice cushion for the 25th.

Ben and Renee Vogel and VirginiaWilliamson also attended the planning session in Providence. Renee offered many suggestion from recent reunion experiences of her own at Cornell. Along with Sandy Gasbarro, Renee and Virginia brought up the possibility of having a woman's program in addition to the children's program that the College sponsors.

Additional reunion planning took place in Hanover May 2-3 on Class Officers Weekend. Representing the class in addition to Gene and myself were president Josh Rich and newsletter editor Tom Komarek. The class was singled out by Joel Portugal '58, Alumni Fund Chairman, as the first class 24 years out to go over the $100,000 mark this early in the campaign. The generous giving of '62 is much appreciated.
