We are off and running in a new year. The mail basket filled up over Christmas which is much appreciated. Please don't stop.

Dick Collins, coach of the Andover, Mass., High School football team, was named coach of the year by The Boston Globe. His team won the Division II Super Bowl against undefeated Salem 21-20 in a tie-breaker that had the spectators emotionally spent.

Richard H. Goodman's daughter Sue was accepted on early decision for the Class of '79. And so was Tim Thomas's daughter Megan. Way to go!

Kisuk Cheung is in the midst of another move from Alaska to Hawaii. He is still working for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers with much enthusiasm. His new assignment will be most interesting. He is now responsible for military engineering and construction in Hawaii, Japan, Korea, Okinawa, Taiwan, Pakistan, Guam, and Samoa. This also includes civil works programs such as dams, boat harbors, and levees. This certainly is a diversification of projects, countries, cultures, and economies. During his orientation trip to Hawaii in October and November, Kisuk spent considerable time with Bay Yee. They are fine and reported to be the most hospitable people in the Pacific Ocean. Kisuk's second son Billy is attending the Punahou School in Honolulu and staying with the Yee's until the Cheungs settle in Honolulu in the near future.

Dick and Audrey Loewenthal also report on Bay Yee's hospitality. They were guests in one of his condominiums at Aspen over Christmas.

Margot Tukey wrote that Jack has been promoted to management director at the Leo Burnett Advertising Agency in Chicago. He handles the Johnson Wax and Kimberly Clark accounts.

George Nevers has moved to Houston with Coastal States Gas Corporation as vice president of Oil and Gas Exploration. The Nevers have five children - the oldest is a sophomore at Colorado State University; the youngest is three years old.

Tommy Davidson and Karen Peterson have announced the formation of Davidson-Peterson Associates, Inc. They are a full service marketing research and consulting firm located in New York.

The students at Cornell occupied the office of the president back in November in protest against an increase in tuition. Jack Hall is executive assistant to the school's president. We saw an AP photograph with Jack in the middle, apparently restoring order.

Tom Fowler has been named manager of international personnel for Motorola's Communications Division, headquartered near O'Hare. Tom has been with Motorola for four years. Previously he was corporate director of compensation and then corporate director of human relations planning.

Sandy Farmer has taken a new job as director of Arapahoe Mental Health Center. It is a suburban mental health center just south of Denver. Community mental health is as topsyturvy as ever, says Sandy, but we're surviving in spite of recent Washington disinterest. The Farmers moved into a new house in Evergreen. The final major event of the year was the birth of their first daughter on July 14 in the back seat of their Torino station wagon. Not bad for a clinical psychologist.

That's all the news for this month. Please let us hear from you.
