President emeritus David McLaughlin has been named the first full-time chairman of the Aspen Institute for Humanistic Studies. The institute brings together prominent people from around the world to discuss current issues. McLaughlin will maintain offices in Washington and at the institute's headquarters in Wye Plantation near Easton, Maryland.
