The mid-August 1926 get-together in Hanover was renewed this year after a twoyear hiatus in its 48-year existence. Numbers were fewer than usual, but the 17 present enjoyed the event, being Sally Drury, Ed and Peggy Emerson (who hosted the opening evening repast at their Norwich home,) Caroline Marshall, Don and Lou Norstrand, Mary Lou Orr, Bob and Dorothy Stopford, Les and Dot Talbot (who had all for cocktails at their Brook Hollow home prior to the DOC Occom clubhouse dinner the second evening,) Tubba and BarbaraWeymouth and Art and Inez Wilcox. Peggy Emerson's brother Rollie Lees and Peggy's and Ed's son Tom also were there.
Morry and Gretchen Storer, Melrose, Fla., could not attend though were planning to visit their two sons in New England. Morry has been busy for some time editing a history of the Storer-Perry family.
Regrets came from Jack and Dawsy Bickford, New Vernon, N.J. Jack continuing his long-time connection with the local mseum; Dick and Dot Husband, Tallahassee, Fla., were in nearby Maine edlerhostels at Westbrook College and University of New England, but couldn't stay longer; Jake andEvie Jacobus, Falmouth, Mass., who also missed their grandson's Dartmouth graduation due to hospital problems; and Joeand Helen Kinney, Bridgton, Maine, were tied down with visiting family vacationers.
Dean Chamberlin, 17 years a resident of Freeport, Maine, was written up with photograph in the local weekly newspaper as an integral part of town life. Dean keeps busy with his 40,000 old-books business in his Main Street 100-year-old home, and, of course, watches for illustrated books published in New England between 1769 and 1869 the first century of Dartmouth College for the 1926 Memorial Book Collection in Baker Library.
The class birthday card reached Ben Zaeder, Dover, N.H., while he and his wife summered in Farmington, N.H., with their son who is chaplain at Phillips Andover Academy. One grandchild just graduated from art school in Philadelphia and another manages Christopher's Restaurant in Manchester, N.H. Their daughter, husband, and two children live at St. Paul's School in Concord, N.H.
