Attending the September 19 luncheon before the Princeton game were: from 1920, Pat and Nancy Holbrook; 1921, Russ and Esther Bailey, Jack Hubbell, and Ort Hicks; 1922, Ray and Doris Atwood, Dick andLema Beyer, John and Frances Dana, Warren and Jeanne Daniell, Pat Greenwood,Dick Litchfield, Len Morrissey, and LouiseOlsen. Peter Dwight '54 represented his parents Carroll and Nan who couldn't make it due to the inclement weather.

Ort Hicks, true to style, enlivened the affair by quoting from Furber Haight a new doggerel which got a laugh: To my glasses I'm accustomed, To my dentures I'm resigned, With my hearing aid I'm coping, But, My God, I miss my mind!

A nice note from Spenny and MargeSmith, now of Atlanta, Ga.: "Thought of you all at luncheon before Princeton game. My Princeton '80 grandson called to wish us a happy anniversary and gave us the score. Our granddaughter is on the staff at Miami University of Ohio. We love being only two miles from our daughter Cynthia, keep busy and active in our new home with over 50 contemporaries—43 ladies and 11 men. Love to all."

With the passing of Alden James, the class of 1922 lost not only the valedictorian but also its last classmate who graduated summa cum laude. The other highest honor graduates were Gaylord W. Anderson,Troyer S. Anderson, John H. Fancher, and Shaw Livermore who was salutatorian. According to Len Morrissey this honor was awarded to these five students out of 237 who received degrees on June 20, 1922.
