"Terrorism is crime." That was the message CIA Director William Webster brought to the Dartmouth campus. Webster's address, sponsored by the World Affairs Council, was his first to a college audience. Webster spoke about CIA efforts to thwart terrorism and narcotics—"the twin threats to the free world." About 20 students protested Webster's visit by picketing in front of the Hopkins Center; his speech was not disrupted, however.
