A recent U.S. News and World Report survey on higher education asked 1,329 college presidents to select the ten schools providing the best undergraduate education in their category.

In the national university category, of 204 schools, Dartmouth placed sixth, after Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and the University of California at Berkeley. Rounding out the top ten were Duke, the University of Chicago, the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and Brown.
