Among this month's news is word that Anthony Harley was elected chairman of the Capital City Railroad Relocation Authority in Springfield, III. Funded by the federal government under the Federal Highway Safety Act of 1973, the Railroad Authority is responsible for track relocations and the elimination of railroad grade crossings in or near Springfield. The organization, which was created in 1968, has completed two segments of its program and is about to embark on a $5.5 million project to eliminate two railroad right-of-ways from a residential area, as well as a dangerous underpass and several grade crossings.

Tony is deputy director to Illinois State Controller Roland Burris. Together with his wife and daughter, Tony makes his home in Springfield.

That's all for now. We'll be back next month.
