Bruce Baggaley of Darien, Conn., was elected president of our class at the 25th Reunion. Bruce succeeds Dave Schaefer of Concord, Mass., who was honored that same weekend for many years of service as president, class officer, and volunteer worker. John Lehman of Riverside, Conn., was named vice president following Bruce Baggaley into that office, and David Bowman of Huntsville, Ala.,was elected newsletter editor, replacing PeteRotch of Amherst, N.H. Bill Russell of Metuchen, N.J.,and Harry Zlokower of Brooklyn, N.Y., were reelected treasurer and secretary respectively. Larry Bailey of Seattle, Wash., will be bequest chairman and Bill Courtney of Claremont, Calif., will continue as head agent. Speaking of the reunion, did you catch John Merrow's artfully produced feature on the MacNeilLehrer Newshour? And for those of you who braved the climb up Mt. Moosilauke, be sure to wear your T-shirts "I was eaten alive," Dartmouth Class of '63 proudly because they're collectors items, according to Pete DeForth. Dennis Kratz, professor of arts and humanities at the University of Texas at Dallas, has been elected president of the American Literary Translators Association. A Harvard Ph.D., Dennis was in Europe at the time of this writing and unavailable for comment. Dennis and Abby, a Wellesley-trained librarian, live in Richardson, Tex., with son Matthew, 16.

Stephen Duzan, CEO and president of Immunex Corp., Seattle, was named chairman, according to The Wall Street Journal. A biotechnology concern,Immunex formed two subsidiaries "to accommodate the significant growth and expansion" of its pharaceutical operations, according to a spokeswoman. The company makes therapeutic and diagnostic products for the treatment of cancer and other diseases.

Don Sutherland of Shenandoah Junction, W. Va., has been appointed principal archaeologist for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, U.S. Department of Interior. He was formerly agency archaeologist for the U.S. Veterans Administration. Don became possibly the newest father in the class on July 26 when Barkley gave birth to Graham Lawton. The couple have two other sons, Dylan, 2, and Donald Will, 4.Harry Zlokower's wife, Nicole, gave birth to Robert Elie on July 4 in Brooklyn, N.Y. We each have a child, Mitchell, 17, and Jean-Marc, 9, by previous marriages. And Harolyn, wife of Mike Cardozo of Bethesda, Md., gave birth to Michael Hart Cardozo VI last April. The couple had dinner recently with Al Palmer, Roger Adelman, and Dave Dawley, who recently moved to Washington from Hanover. Roger, who prosecuted Presidential assailant John W. Hinkley and Florida congressman Richard Kelly in the Abscam bribery case, joined the Kirkpatrick and Lockhart law firm in Washington D.C. He's a graduate of University of Pennsylvania Law School and taught evidence and trial practice at Georgetown for 13 years. Al mer is a partner with the law firm Morrison & Foerster in Washington. Very much a prosecutor is Wally Eldridge, of Whitehall, Pa., according to a note from Ralph Maynard '31, who lives in Schnecksville.Wally gained some national interest when an Allentown judge sent his "psychic death" case to Lehigh County Court following a hearing. The defendant is charged with attempting to hire a Tarot card reader to kill her husband by "psychic or other means." Angela Lansbury, we need you.
