The pickings are a bit slim this time around, so I have decided to spice things up. For those of you scoring at home, all writer's embellishments will be followed by an asterisk (*). My attorney tells me that's a good way to keep from being sued.

I was happy (*) to hear from Mike Portland recently. Mike is beginning his second year with McKinsey & Co. in Cleveland. His most recent consulting project has taken him to Detroit, perhaps the only city in the country where people willingly buy plane tickets to Cleveland (*). Mike attended the wedding of Kevin Donovan and Missy Morgan over the summer and reports that the class (as well as the Sig Ep house) was well represented.

Congratulations also to Ken Laughinghouse and Mike Lynch, whose weddings took place earlier this year.

Rob Weiss has begun his second year studying law at Stanford. He is pleased to have the first-year stresses behind him, but remains quite busy working on the Stanford Journal of International Law and interviewing for positions at law firms for next summer. Rob shares an apartment with fellow law student Matt Lintner, and the two are paying their tuitions by selling living wills door to door (*). Other '87s in their second year of law school include Tracey Salmon at Villanova, Faith Rivers at Harvard, and Regina Speed at Georgetown. Regina took time out from her job over the summer to be married to Mark Bost on August 6.

Nancy Lomazzo is back at work in New York after a trip to Europe over the summer. While overseas, Nancy solved world hunger (*) and wrote an opera (*). By returning on the Concorde, she got back before she left (*).

Well I have really enjoyed this new format (*), and I'm sure you have, too (*). As you go through life, don't keep all of your news to yourselves. As the pet owner said to the puppy, "Get it all down on paper." I would like to hear from you.
