Robert Reich '68 was nominated by the Alumni Council to serve a five-year term as Alumni Trustee starting in June. Reich, a professor of public policy at the Kennedy School of Government and a lecturer at the Harvard Law School, previously served as assistant solicitor general of the United States and director of policy planning for the Federal Trade Commission.

Reich is the author of several books, in- cluding "Tales of a New America," pub- lished last year. As a Dartmouth student, Reich was elected Phi Beta Kappa, gradu- ated summa cum laude, and was a winner of a Rhodes Scholarship and a Marshall Scholarship. He earned a doctoral degree at Oxford and a law degree at Yale. Reich was the subject of an Alumni Magazine cover story in May 1986.
