Buck Zuckerman '52, New York author-actor, who during student years kept the campus constantly entertained by his comic antics on and off the stage as the man "who is a figment of his own imagination," has recently had his dramatic talents recognized nationally. His new play, "Puzzle in the Park," was chosen as one of the three best entrants in the national competition for new television scripts that was jointly sponsored by Chicago's educational television station, WTTW, and two well-known Chicago theatrical organizations. Buck's play was selected in the final judging by a committee composed of Fred Coe, producer of CBS's Playhouse 90; NBC's Howard Brice; and Edward Stasheff of the University of Michigan. The premiere of prize-winning "Puzzle in the Park" was given over station WTTW late in January.

Buck is the son of silent film star Ruth Taylor and has been in theatrical work since his college days. While fulfilling his two-year term of military service with the Army, he directed a repertory company which operated under special services and toured England and Germany. For the past ten years he has worked under the professional nom de plume of Buck Henry and has received such credits as the Broadway production of "Bernadine," the touring company of "No Time for Sergeants," the tour of "Life with Father," and work in various television and off-Broadway productions.
