Considering exploring Timbuktu or terrorizing Wagga Wagga on your next family vacation? Contact Cathy Kelley for tips on how to travel in style in these and other exotic places. Cathy is an assistant editor of Traveller magazine, a publication targeted at folks who insist upon eating crepes and souffle while on safari. Unfortunately Traveller's editors do not practice on-the-spot reporting, so Cathy has not had the chance to scout out Mozambique. Until her boss places tickets for travel to Dehli in her in box, Cathy must rely on a host of nomad '86s for travel stories.

Shep Kopp and Neil Maher consumed many rolls of film while touring Asia and the South Pacific. Not all snapshots were tasteful enough for publication in Traveller. Even those shots of purer subject were not fit to share with the publication's refined readers who, unlike Shep and Neil, like to bathe and shave while traveling. After returning to the U.S. their first objective was to recover from their emaciated state. Having done this, they felt strong enough to endure job searches. Shep landed a job with an advertising firm that specializes in placing ads on the side of trucks. Neil is working with a filmmaker in NYC.

Jill Whitcomb and an '85 whose name I didn't catch are Cathy's correspondents in Africa. After resting their bodies on the Kenyan coast, the pair rented a jeep and ventured inland for a self-made safari. Jill, always fond of wearing spandex leopard skin, seeks to adorn herself with the real thing. Before returning to American soil, Jill will report on action in the Middle East.

Werner Tillinger is an especially valuable contact for Cathy. Based in exotic St. Louis, Werner's body has been whisked through many time zones as he travels the world as a tour guide.

Several other '86s. have been breathing foreign air molecules. Lynn Anders has been living in Japan where she teaches English to Japanese business people and high school students. John Marchiony spent February in Calgary where he arranged conferences and activities for companies that were "official sponsors" of the Winter Olympics. While there he cheered on LeslieThompson, a skier on the U.S. team.

Pam Prosser recently appended the name Friedman to her own when she married Tom Friedman 'B5. The two had planned a June wedding but got fed up with the preparations and ended up organizing the whole wedding in three days. After graduation Pam had headed off to Harvard to study neuro-chemistry. Finding that Harvard and brain activity don't mix, Pam left grad school to teach high school biology at Concord Academy in Massachusetts. She plans to enroll in veterinary school in the fall of 'B9 and practice equine medicine.
