"Most of us are 30," I thought as I drove north on 1-93. "We're grownups now, so it's unlikely that Bob Lisk's wedding will be the scene that it would have been were we right out of college. All-nighters, shots, debauchery that's all a part of our past."

I was only partially correct. All-nighters, yes; debauchery, no well, it depends upon your definition. Bob's marriage to Cathy Scofield was an outstanding event. Scenes to remember: Rick Broom checking into the hotel at 4:00 a.m. He beelines to Geoff Edelson's room, expecting to find "the fellows" in some intellectual activity such as Bizz Buzz or Quarters. Instead, he discovers John Beyer and Tom Cammann intensely discussing the dilemmas involved in finding a good pediatrician. (What's wrong with this picture?) Rick is in the restaurant business in Springfield, N.J.

Another scene: Peter Rentschler, diligently attempting to catch up on beauty sleep prior to his own wedding on June 18 in Grosse Pointe, passing out er, excuse me falling asleep while the others discussed baby doctors. The next morning, feeling chipper, he tosses an open shirt over his brawny shoulders and wanders through the main lobby in search of "the fellows." Little did he know that, in his slumber the fellows had decorated his chest and face with lipstick graffiti (Estee Lauder, passion peach and blushing pink). Will Rentsch return to this hotel?

Other scenes: John Beyer, who has always been a great ambassador of Seattle, proudly announcing that he is now a Midwesterner, having moved with wife and baby to Cincinnati. Jeff DesCombes, a child of California, proudly announcing that he is now a New Englander (for a little while anyway), having moved with wife to Billerica, Mass.

Speaking of weddings, Paul Mott decided to have one, but forgot to send out the invitations. Paul eloped with a Texas banker in May.

Bill Finnegan remembered the invitations and married Anne Cudlip, a Tuck classmate, on May 21. Bill is in corporate finance at Drexel Burnham in New York.

Bruce Fitzsimmons, who claims that he is a real estate attorney in Boston, recently married Alyson Hunt.

Tom and Susan Vieth are saying au revoir to Boston—well, Susan is, Tom's probably saying "ta ta"—and moving into their new home outside of Burlington, Vt. Markand Patty Hatch, with daughter Ruth, are heading south instead of north to western North Carolina.

Shaun Smith Johnson introduced Amanda Burrous Johnson to the world on May 7. (Dad is Sam Johnson '77.) Shaun recently left TIAA, where she was in commercial mortgage financing. Finally, Widett, Slater, and Goldman, P.C. in Boston are pleased to announce that Roger Glovsky has become an associate of the firm. (Is Roger pleased to have become one?)

Next month: "Minneapolis Minutes," by Page Polk Lipe; "Providence is not a Pit," by Andy Graham, and "How to Throw a 30th Birthday Party for Bill Helman," by Bill Helman.
