The 25 th Reunion of the class of 1965 will take place on June 14 17, 1990. A large attendance seems natural, but we were quite surprised when a recent telephone sample indicated 100 percent of our class will be returning to Hanover.

The first person to take part in the random poll was Art Yasuda. He and his wife, Reni, attended the 1985 reunion and Art says they both enjoyed the weekend very much. If able to schedule around graduation ceremonies of a son and daughter, the entire family will travel from their home in the San Francisco Bay area. Art's career as a California investment banker began after he received an M.B.A. from Berkeley in 1967. He is presently with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he markets both government securities and financial futures.

Charlie LaFiura reports that his wife, Judy, and two teenage sons let him know some time ago of their interest in coming to the reunion and that he was to plan accordingly. The LaFiura family has been involved in Dartmouth activities through the Dartmouth Club of Northern New Jersey and Charlie has served that organization in several roles, including the presidency. He began the practice of law by joining what is now an 18-attorney firm in West Patterson, N.J., after graduation from New York University law school. He says his work primarily involves corporate and banking clients.

Dick Harris is coming to the reunion if he can assure his daughters and wife, Katie, of a favorable New Hampshire weather forecast. Five years ago the Harris family, far from the comfort of their Atlanta home, was surprised by icy rain and sleet on the reunion trip up Mt. Moosilauke. Dick says he first began to "turn southern" when he enrolled in graduate school for industrial engineering at Georgia Tech. The five previous years had been spent as an army signal corps officer in West Germany and Vietnam. Dick joined the data processing division of Honeywell in 1974 and is currently a technical systems advisor for Bull, Honeywell's successor company. Dick's favorite part of reunions is relaxed time with old friends. He suggests a few "spin-off" gatherings of associations such as clubs, athletic teams, and ROTC units.

Larry Keesey says "the 20th Reunion was my first and was a lot more fun that I expected. I'm definitely looking forward to next June." His wife, Lucinda, was his date at the last reunion and Larry says "she appeared to enjoy the experience well enough to sign up for several more." Lariy is serving as the chief counsel for the Florida Department of Community Affairs. From a Tallahassee office he directs the work of 14 other attorneys managing statewide growth through planning and zoning law. Larry began his legal career at Florida State University in 1971, after five years as a naval aviator.

Jack Heidbrink, of Burlington, Mass., was the final participant in our survey. Jack received a master's degree in history and education at the University of Wisconsin and teaches "the art of history" in a Lexington, Mass., high school. His wife, Sue, a graduate of Colby-Sawyer and Wheelock, is presently working toward a master's degree. The Heidbrinks have two daughters, both students at the University of Massachusetts. Jack says he always makes new friends during Dartmouth reunions and continues to wonder how he missed so many interesting people during his undergraduate days. He is serving as our reunion book editor and urges any classmates still holding information to send their contributions as soon as possible.

Perhaps the size of our telephone survey should be expanded in future months. If for any reason you will not be at home, please keep the trend going by leaving an "I'm coming to the reunion" message on your answering machine.
