Canoeists Reunion
Sam Dix '39, left, and Harold Putnam '37 recently got together in Grand Rapids, Mich., the first time they had seen each other in 52 years. Sam lives in Grand Rapids, Harold in Boston and Vero Beach, Fla. The P for Putnam paddle was used by Harold to win the Dartmouth canoe championship in his freshman year. When he graduated he passed it along to Sam, who still uses it.
