Judge Dudley Bonsai, having satisfactorily reached the age of 82, is seriously pondering relinquishing his chambers in the Federal District Court in New York City so as to enjoy what time is left at his home in Bedford, N.Y. John Rintels spent last summer, as usual, at his place on Martha's Vineyard. Problems from a hiatal hernia forced him to cancel out a projected trip to Labrador. I am fine except for an occasional octogenarian visual problem. It was good to hear that you and Johnny Rintels and Bob Slater are doing all right." (Rintels, Slater, and yours truly first saw the light of day on the same morning in early July as did Brugy.)
