Fall reunions become mini-er and mini-er every year as time marches on, and unexpected illness and other occurrences make planning difficult for cochairpersons Bob and Franchot Long. Nevertheless they did a masterful job on September 14—15, when nine classmates ana ten wives and widows wended their way back to Hanover to refresh their memories and to see the game with Pennsylvania. The weekend began with a group of early arrivals having lunch at the Ivy Grill at the Hanover Inn, and two evening dinners were held in the Hitchcock Room of Thayer Hall.

The meeting closed with Dr. Jack Turco of Dick Hall's House speaking at some length and giving an excellent explanation of what is being done with respect to student health problems, particularly with the increased use of the House after the medical school and hospital leave Hanover.

At the Saturday evening banquet the speaker was Professor Davia Lindgren who gave an informal but extremely impressive account of what is happening in the Soviet Union, based on his several trips there.

As for the game with Pennsylvania, suffice it to say that we were disappointed, as was Coach Buddy Teevens, to learn that the first string quarterback had come down with mononucleosis.

The class mourns the death on September 29, after a short illness, of Dorothy Gillespie, wife of Thomas V. Dot stood beside Tom for many years as they were co-chairmen of fall reunions, and she was also active during his eight years as editor of the Speakeasy.

Happy Holidays.
