Phil O'Connell was married to his second wife, Jane McFarland, July 26 in Kilmihill, County Claire, Ireland, where his granddaughter Chrissy and her husband, Niall Breen, live.
The latter couple have just finished their second book, "When Summer's in the Meadow," publishing in February. Phil, by the way, now has 17 grandchildren; can Don Hunt tie that?
Report from Nate Bugbee's daughter, Barbara Roggervin, says Dorrie is now permanently residing in the North Hills Health Center in Needham and seems happy keeping active with luncheons, rides, and swimming with a group, though continuing her memory loss. She visits every week or two with Barbara and her two teenage grandchildren.
Justin Bugbee is now in Florida and is caring on his own for his wife, Delta, who is quite blind and in poor health. Bob Sweetser retired from the USDA in 1986 and is living quietly in Jersey with his wife, both in good health. Ken Montgomery and Harle were in Hanover for a few days recently helping select future Montgomery Fellows. Dick Nye's son, Robert Choate Nye, was married recently to Julia Hatch, a graduate of Skidmore with an advanced degree in nursing from Boston College. They will live in Rhode Island. Dick's grandson (son of Dick Nye Jr.) is currently at Dartmouth.
Whitev White and Betty Sleigh were both in the Salem Hospital having growths removed from their intestines. Whitey also has a problem with a leg due to a clot which the medics are trying to dissolve. One of our 1925 Scholars, Kevin Luensmann '9O, has been elected a co-captain of the football team.
