Thought I would be among Ed Bock,Bill Baker, Stan Priddy, and any other exsecretaries mentionable. Your confidence is most reassuring.

Reunion memories linger pleasantly. Better get ready for the 25th ... this last one just a practice. ... We had enough doctors among us in Hanover to start a TV show. ... Enjoyed seeing Jim Capps, a tremendous ski enthusiast even minus snow - and a busy OB in Syracuse. ... Martin Kane has moved to Portland, Me., with the Simonds, Payson advertising agency, where he expects to do for Red Rose tea what he did for Tetley. I hear his commercials on the Philly radio. Judge George Barlow, after a month's vacation, requests info from classmates about the Great Hanover Inn Robbery circa 1942. George feels a case book of college campus capers might be a great contribution to the legal fund of knowledge.

Jim Malley left a promising Manchester law practice in 1957 for a Jesuit novitiate after a circuitous career through Harvard Law School, W. War II and Korea Navy duty, Boston and San Francisco law practices. June 18 he was ordained a Jesuit priest by Cardinal Spellman at Fordham and sang his first solemn High Mass June 24 at Somersworth, N.H., attended by the Governor of New Hampshire and other dignitaries. After a summer at Yale, Jim will continue theological studies at Woodstock College in Maryland for eventual assignment to a mission in Brazil. Our congratulations to Jim for dedicating his fine talents to helping others.

Ernie Giusti, chief of Special Projects branch, historical division, Joint Chiefs of Staff, will attend the National War College in the 1964-65 session. Ernie joined the staff in 1952 after several years' graduate study in political science at Georgetown and a Fulbright scholarship in Italy. His staff duty requires his direction, writing, and production of politico-military studies in support of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Joint Staff, resulting in several outstanding commendations by the Department of Defense and the White House. Ernie belonged to the 1942 Dartmouth Indian Squadron in Navy flight training and later flew heavy combat duty as a Marine. His wife is Natalie Larioff, whom he met in China while in the service.

Joe Hirschberg took a sabbatical from the Forrestal Research Center, Princeton, as "Professor d'Exchange" at the University of Paris. The year included Physics research at the Laboratoire Aime Cotton at Bellevue and the French Atomic Energy Laboratory at Fontenay aux Roses. Joe Jr. (16), Anne (10), and Lynn (8) have been attending French schools and side tripping to Munich, where Joe gave a paper at a conference, plus some summer skiing and the Lausanne exposition. By now they all should be back in Princeton. Joe is another Fulbright Scholar doing significant things.

This and that... Don Kingsley elected a v-p of the American Association of Industrial Editors. ... Roy Watson named "Executive of the Year" by the Rochester, Minn., National Secretaries Association. His secretary nominated him! ... Rog Thomas is now a special agent with the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Hartford. ... Jim Wells now executive vice president of the William Underwood Company in charge of foreign operations. Underwood is the nation's oldest canning company. ... Tony Farrell, one of the nicest guys in the state of Vermont, adds a girl to the Farrell family on June 23 Bud Kast's daughter Christine married Harvey Mole III in July. The Kasts live in Cleveland where Bud headmasters the Hawken School. Bill Steck '31 keeps me posted on the Kasts.

Warren Preece has been named editor of the Encyclopaedia Britannica by its board of directors. Warren served as executive secretary to the board of editors since join- ing Britannica in 1957 and at one time was consultant to the Center for the Study of Democratic Institutions in Santa Barbara. He has had duty with the New York Times, Chicago Sun Times, and the Chicago Tribune and lives in Winnetka.

John Kimball, Topsfield Town Moderator, is senior partner in the Boston law firm of Hale and Dorr, which he joined in 1952. With Marine duty in W. War II and Korea, John apparently is active in the Marine Corps reserve ... and another nice guy who didn't make the reunion. ... Jim Gilbert is a new trustee of the Connecticut Savings Bank of New Haven. Jim is president of C.W. Blakeslee & Sons, Inc. with other extensive business and civic activities. He joined Blakeslee in 1946 as a construction laborer.

Secretary, 414 Rosedale Dr. Pottstown, Pa.
