Once again the October 12-13 fell mini was a resounding success! While the highlight undoubtedly was the sound 27-17 beating of Yale in football (the first in Hanover since 1978), the large gathering of '46s, their spouses, and friends enjoyed participating in the traditional Dartmouth Night parade, followed by speeches and the bonfire. After the game on Saturday the class dinner was held at the Hanover Inn, featuring a most enjoyable talk by basketball coach Paul Cormier and excellent singing by the Dartmouth Aires.

Among those in attendance during the mini were Bob and Jackie Kimball, Whitey Burnham, Dune and Ruth Fitchett,Art and Janie Young, Spence Smith, FredGarfield, John and Edie McClintock,Howard Schneider, Jack Whitman, JackUlrich, Ham and Nancy Bailey, Paul andJean Englehardt, Sam Johnson, Rosemary Marlette, Ray and Maxine Gallagher, Harlan Brumsted, Jim Barnet,Frank and Pat Ettari, Jud and GraceHannigan, Ed and Molly Scheu, Bill andRoberta DeStefano, Dan and Kay Fuller,Jack and Anona Sayers, Gus Gillaugh,Clark and June Judge, Welles and Bobbie Fendrich, Tom Cohn, Marty and Virginia Marino, Gene Bokor, and MonkMartin. Undoubtedly there were more classmates, spouses, and friends at the game and in the tent whose names simply escaped me. In any event, it was a great weekend, so put October 11-12, 1991 on your calendar now for another most enjoyable '46 mini. Sincere thanks to Whitey Burnham and Jack Sayers, our co-mini-reunion chairmen, and, as always, to Bob and Jackie Kimball for opening their home and back yard to us all again this year.

On mini-reunion Friday afternoon your 45th Reunion Committee met to complete all but the finishing touches for the reunion on June 10-13, 1991. Co-chairs John and Edie McClintock were joined by committee members Bill DeStefano, Dune Fitchett, Walt Snickenberger, Bob Kimball, Frankand Mary Jane Cole, Rosemary Marlette, Tom Cohn, Bob and Jean Winstanley, and George Riley. Also present were President Gus Gillaugh and Newsletter Editor Harlan Brumsted. In addition to our own class programs, the events and functions planned by the College, and jointly with '45 and '47, should provide something for everyone in a perfect setting, as we relive the past and renew old friendships.

On mini-reunion Saturday morning a class meeting was held at the Kimballs, President Gillaugh presiding. Treasurer Ham Bailey reported that our finances were in good shape, following which it was voted to continue our support of the library's rare book restoration program and the athletic department's Sponsors program with $2,000 and $1,500 contributions respectively. Also sincere thanks were expressed to Welles Fendrich and his fellow agents for their excellent work in the 1990 Alumni Fund drive. Our $141,415 was a record and our 64 percent participation exceeded the fund's overall 60 percent.

On a sad note comes news of the death of Paul Davis's wife, Theda, last summer. Sincerest condolences go to Paul and the other members of his family.
