Your class officers, in their wisdom, have scheduled the mini-reunion for the September 29 weekend when the football team will be elsewhere. This novel idea has a touch of genius. It provides an opportunity to visit Hanover when it should be relatively uncrowded, the foliage colorful, and accommodations at the Norwich Inn available. Football is fun, but getting to and from the game often a hassle. At our stage of development skipping it could be a plus. So, make your reservations at the Norwich Inn before August 1. The class dinner will be held there Saturday evening. Further details in the Campaigner.

Sadly, some of the mini regulars will be missing this year. Among them will be AnneMakepeace. She and Maurie rarely missed one. Anne, in her charmingly quiet way, seemed to enjoy them thoroughly. With her death on April 2 after a long illness the class has lost one of its great ladies. Maurie has our deepest sympathy.

The obituary for Ed Sawyer was written before Bequests & Trusts reported that he made the College the beneficiary of his entire estate. Ed was single and had no known kin. They will let us know when they collect.

At the meeting of class officers in April, absent your secretary, plans for the 65th Reunion were put in motion. Bill Morton has been asked to head up publicity, a job he has performed so ably for us in the past. Mutt Jennings will be chairman and CurlyProsser vice chairman. You will be asked whether, in addition to the usual two days, you would like to participate in a post-reunion two-day stay at Ascutney, or possibly the Woodstock Inn.

We regretfully report the deaths of JackHerpel, stroke, on April 13, and JohnNixon, heart, on May 12. Obituaries will appear in due course.
