The following comes from Jack Dodd: "Though complete results of the 1990 Alumni Fund are not available at this early July date, we do have enough information to warrant our sincere thanks and thanks again to every member in the class of 1922 family. We have been informed that 1922 exceeded its objective by approximately 22 percent. And while our appreciation goes, as always to each loyal classmate, this year it is especially noteworthy that practically half of the class contribution came from our class of 1922 ladies." Final results will appear in a future issue.

Twenty-two was conspicuously present at Dartmouth's 220th Commencement, June 10 on the Baker Library lawn.

President emeritus and '22 honorary classmate John G. Kemeny was there for the announcement that he is retiring from the faculty. In appreciation of his dedication to Dartmouth and his excellence as a teacher he received a unanimous ovation. Classmates join in wishing Jean and John many years of good health and happiness.

"Would you attend Dartmouth again?" "I can't imagine myself anywhere else. The people here are extraordinary," replied graduate Sarah Stearns '90.

She was a psychology major, captain of the women's volleyball team, played junior varsity tennis, belongs to Delta Gamma sorority, and, incidentally, is the granddaughter of the late Stewart P. Stearns and our Louise Stearns, and John S. Dickey and his wife, Christina.

Sorrowfully reported is the death of Modie J. Spiegel in a Chicago hospital on June 23. An obituary will follow.
