Let's get right to the skinny on this one, folks. Our class breeds like mink. The latest I heard was that Jim Bloomer and his wife, Mindy, were preparing for the birth of bambino #1, which by now certainly has become a happy reality. Cheers to you both! As it happens, Jim works at Hewitt Associates, which issurprise! the same place where yours truly spends his daylight hours. Jim and Mindy live in Evanston, Ill He fetched his M.B.A. from Northwestern in June 1989. Nobody told me then, so I'm writing it now.

I ran into Messrs. Bloomer and Reed Webster at the Hewitt Associates cafeteria. (In case you don't know, Hewitt has a fullysubsidized food service for all its associates. I love this concept.) Reed is about to start his second year at the Kellogg School. He seemed in high spirits, which pleased me. As you all know by now, Andrea and I moved to Chicago several months ago, and we are in desperate need of friends and companionship. So it's good to learn that Dartmouth '83 has considerable presence in the Windy City.

Here are some vignettes for you to ponder. I think Mark Stein is either engaged or married now. I know Dave Stern is married, because Howie Brick told me so. And, I can also report with some integrity that Bob and Barbara Goldman have successfully fought their way out of the New York City Jungle and were scheduled to return to that metropolitan oasis known as Boston recently.

I believe it is also fair to say that Bob and Barbara traveled to Israel this summer. You have to write with caution when commenting on lawyers' activites.

Here's some news on Chaz Blackmore, who wanted to tell you everything about his life. Chaz has been promoted to manager at Ernst & Young in Boston. That's the good news. The tad news is that Chaz's condominium is worth one-eighth of what he paid for it, so he's borderline Chapter 11. Nonetheless, financial ruin aside, Chaz majestically rose to the occasion and married Frances Jewels, a Syracuse M.B.A.'er, certified public accountant, and J.D. candidate. Good lord —think of how much their stationery is going to cost.

Chrisandra Simmons has accepted the position of field department secretary at Pioneer Clubs in Wheaton, Ill. Pioneer Clubs is a church-sponsored weekly club program for young people K-12. Churches utilize the program to supplement their other Christian education ministries. Overall, Pioneer Clubs serves 3,000 churches and 100,000 children. Pretty impressive stuff.

There should be more news; in fact, there IS more news, but it's buried in one of 97 boxes still needing to be unpacked. It ain't too early to think about Harvard weekend in Hanover during mid-October!
