'At our fall reunion in Hanover, September 27-28, our veteran secretary handed the reins over to his successor, Dow Mills, because of increasing visual and health problems. We all owe CharliePaddock a rousing wah-hoo-wah for his tireless efforts over many years to keep our classmates informed of their doings and notices of their deaths. More on the fall reunion in next month's report.

From Tennessee, Chuck and FrancesBrewster celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in June, then visited their family in Maine in July, where they met with Normand Ruth Swift at their Bay Point cottage.

Also from Maine, a note from GordonHope on Kezar Lake, Center Lovell, whose wife, Dora, died there after 61 years of marriage. The class sends it sympathy to Hopie.

Dr. Fritz Kortlucke of Lawrence, Kan., is confined to a wheelchair and requires physical therapy. He enjoys hearing from his classmates, according to his daughter Sheila who is also a doctor.

Mish Cleaves responded to his birthday card by recounting his problems with the vertebral disks in his spine that required surgery to relieve back pain.

Bob and Madeline Page enjoyed lunch recently with Bob Williamson's widow, Peg' in Needham, Mass.

Jack and Jackie Thees took an auto trip of 4500 miles last May from Pompano Beach to Houston, Texas, and Washington, D.C., with intermediate stops for family visits and to celebrate his 86th birthday.

Alice Wormser entertained Ed Baker's widow, Ruth, during her visit to Florida and Rog and Lally Bury at a later date.

Your secretary enjoyed a month's holiday on the Rhine and Moselle rivers of Germany and a barge trip on the canals of Holland and Belgium this past summer.
