Pete Knight reports from Maine: "I must admit to losing some horsepower this year. My sailing and tennis have lost the old competitive drive." Hurricane Bob had dragged Pete's mooring about 50 feet, "and I must figure out a way to lift and reset it, using the boat and tide to do the heavy work." That's slowing down?

End of class news. Please write me, somebody. Oh a few of us attended the Bucknell game. The September weather was ideal. I tailgated with Dick and Polly Muzzy '35, right near the stadium. The martinis were perfect. I was in the west stands a little early, gratified to find that Seat 28, Row N, Section 6 was practically on the 50-yard line. Who would be joining me? At a game long ago I found myself next to whom? Was this guy a '32? We exchanged names, and I found myself shaking hands with Andy Cummins. I racked my brains, then confessed that his name didn't register. Andy chuckled. He couldn't remember me either. We got along famously. So who would be in Row N today?

First to arrive: Bo and Ginna Wentworth. Bo really concentrates on a football gameevery play. Then Don and Ellie Marcus appeared. They had disappointing news: Don's cataract operation was keeping them from the October mini-reunion. I tried to be cheerful and asked if they had other news for their classmates. Wish I could remember what they replied.

Just before kickoff, Jim and Amy Corbett found their way to Row N. Hey, they looked great. Amy, at my left, couldn't concentrate on the game. Their seats were just across the aisle from the undergraduate cheering section. A group of nice-looking young people spent some time standing and conversing between Amy and the field. "Down in front," she kept calling, in vain.

Elsewhere in the stands were your 60th reunion chairman Greydon Freeman and Ethel. Also Howdy and Dottie PierpontDick and Mary Olmsted, and Dobbie Allen.Art had to be with the sailing team on Lake Mascoma. Seems like coaching a sport other than football can be a drawback on a glorious September afternoon.
