One of the officers of the agency which employs yours truly is a West Point man. It was pleasant to talk to him after the Army game. My brother-in-law is a Syracuse graduate. I telephoned him on October 22. One of my neighbors is a Harvard. Never gives me any trouble. I have a Yale as a good client. From him—no comment. However, I know no one who went to Columbia. Cornell? Princeton? Ask me later.

I trust that most of you have already sent in your class dues to our treasurer, Stew Steffey. Stew reported early in November that approximately 200 replies had come in that leaves almost 400 still unheard from. Of course a month will have passed before this is read and by that time we should be well into the second half of respondents. Stew asked for this plug in the notes so I might as well make it sound like a radio commercial: 'And remember that address 1140 Wightman Street -that's 1140 Wightman Street-Pittsburgh 17, Pa."

The news bureau was very sparse this month. Apparently the 1941 gang has been missing the headlines. One wedding made the Boston Herald, that being the marriage of Miss Marilyn Beckwith of Framingham, Mass. to our own Charlie Putnam. Then there was the report from the Dartmouth College Medical School that Dr. Richard Sexton has been appointed an instructor in plastic surgery. Gee, it seems like only yesterday that I met Dick at Durham, N. C., when he was attending Duke University Medical School. He took one look at me in my G.I. uniform and decided to go in for plastic surgery.

SMALL WORLD DEPARTMENT: I'm looking through the list of new addresses for the class when my eye falls upon the name of one Richard Krolik whom I have not seen for several years and who when last heard from was on the Pacific Coast in a place called Hollywood. So I telephone Dick at March ofTime where he's a Television Producer. Dick tells me that my name came up in conversation twenty minutes before my call and that was the first time he's thought of Mouse Hall in three years. Recently married, Dick just moved into a new apartment and found out that Dan Woodward is occupying the apartment just above.

Fred Cluthe is the Treasurer of Strohmeyer 8c Arpe (Importers & Exporters) in New York City. He's very happy at the moment over a new home he and his wife have out in Short Hills, N. J. Fred indicates that he sees DonBrown and Waring Carrington from time to time. Waring travels far and wide around the country representing a jewelry firm in which he is associated with his father. Fred says that he and Pete Scott are doing some interviewing for the alumni group in New York City. As a former interviewer on Long Island I have a request to make to Fred: Try and find a few tackles, several halfbacks and a T-quarterback. That's all, brother.

From up Hanover way comes word from Dick Sawyer that after sitting in on several reunions during the past summer, ours was still the best. He and Barbara are going to have a brother or sister to add to the young man who appeared in the Tenth Reunion picture. From deep in the heart of Texas more information as to the adventures of Dick Paul. Dick's family is still in England and he is currently at Randolph AFB with the ist Air Force. He is trying his best to get a transfer to England as the best solution to his problem. Surely there's a General reading this somewhere who can swing the deal. Dick's first stop was at Ellington Field in Texas and while at the bar in the officer's club ran into a familiar face. After retracing tours of duty during World War II and finding nothing in comm on, he and his drinking companion discovered they were both '41 at Dartmouth. The other party: Capt. Paul Badger. And Paul writes us that being indispensable to the USAF, he was recalled to active duty and is currently at Sacramento, California. Dick Paul says Capt. Badger and wife "Tommie" were wonderful the way they packed up in Texas and went by trailer to California with all their belongings and two youngsters in tow. Thanks for the letter Dick, and let's hear

more from you. While we are in Texas, I want to stick in a commercial for a new business in Dallas belonging to George Schroeder. George is President of Commercial Laundry Equipment & Supply Co. The business is three months old, has assets of $5,000 and two employees. Next year perhaps we'll have an annual report. Best wishes for success, George.

Butch Hillard looks hale and hearty. Saw him at a Long Island alumni meeting a week ago. He's with the General Dye Stuff Corporation. I read where Bob Hess has become a neighbor of mine in Levittown. Incidentally one of these days I'm going to do a column on Levittown. We have about 50 Dartmouth men in the community now.

Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for the New Year to you all!
