Dartmouth defeated Bucknell in football and the fall foliage was beautiful as 78 classmates, wives and guests warmed up for the 55th Reunion in June by setting a mini-reunion record September 27-28.
Reunion Co-chairmen Charlie Blaisdell and John Johannesen opened the weekend with a dinner Friday night at the DOC House. A panel of Dartmouth students gave us an insight of Dartmouth today, and classmates' comments indicated that a good feeling about the College was transmitted to the audience. Speaking to us were the following grandchildren of 1937: Jennifer Koop '92 and Heather Koop '95, both granddaughters of ChickKoop, and Lindsay Amon '94, granddaughter of Monk Amon. Jennifer hopes to become a pre-med student and follow in the footsteps of her grandfather. Our new class of 1937 scholar, John Davies '94, told of his experiences in Leningrad during a term abroad.
At Saturday morning's class meeting we set a goal for our reunion gift to the College of $280,000. 55th Reunion Chairman Russ Stearns described the plans for The Fantastic 55th June 15—17, 1992. A tailgate party preceded the game and a dinner at the Coolidge Hotel after the game gave everyone a chance to talk, sing, and have a great time.
