Believe it or not, news is actually a little scarce this month. It shouldn't be since so many of us were able to reconnect in Hanover during the June reunion. You'll have to send us some news to avoid having mad ramblings or embarrassing moments (real or imagined) associated with various classmates show up here in the future.

Actual news includes the fact that MalcolmJones has left Public Resources Advisory Group, where he acted as a consultant to various city, county, and state governments, for the more verdant pastures of Kidder Peabody. Still in LA., Malcolm is a VP in municipal finance pursuing new business in an effort to "fix what's broke" in the finances of those political entities. Sounds like a growth business to me.

Seen lifting a jar or two at an end-of-summer party co-sponsored by John and Susan Ryzewic and Susan's parents were Jerry andMarguerite O'Brien, Tony and JulieFitzpatrick, John and Denise Colangelo, Bill '70 and Ann Wilson, and John andMartha Shanahan

Robert Uhlmannn is the founder and chairman of Broadcast Data Systems in Kansas City, Mo. He and his firm were recently honored when Kansas City Mayor Robert L. Berkeley proclaimed Kansas City the "popular music charting capital of the U.S." And you thought George Brett was a BMOC in KC!

One helpful hint for our next reunion from Dave Felt. It really pays to find out what dorm rooms are next to the class tent if you don't care to hear a serenade of '50s, '60s, and '70s favorites 'til 4:30 a.m. Eventually our head student worker pulled the plug by stealing the tap.

Mike Maynard, our new class president, informs us that Ron Harris, one of the class's best and most consistent supporters and a member of the class executive committee, has accepted a nomination for a three-year term on the Alumni Council. Congratulations, Ron.

Mike also reports that at the recent class officers weekend, the class was presented with an Alumni Fund award for setting the record for 20th Reunion giving: $413,447. This is a tremendously time-consuming and tough job. Mike has kept our class record of leadership intact and deserves the thanks of all of us. Sympathy (and help) should go to Bob Lider, who takes the reins for the next five years. He will be working towards peaking for our 25th during the heart of the Capital Campaign.

Finally, Mike sends word that he and Ilene ran into Dave and Cathy Dietz at a sock hop held at a neighbor's home in Chestnut Hill.

If you don't send news, we'll tell more tales in grittier detail and use names! We'll be back in February.
