Why, in the 1990 Aegis, does a picture of Brian Mittman playing the piano appear on a page labeled, "Politics?" Enquiring minds want to know. Whose picture appears in the yearbook most often? Linda Kim's, according to my records—11 times in all. In fact, Linda writes that she's moved in with her sister in Palo Alto, Calif., and is now certified to teach elementary school. She's done some substitute teaching at home in Tennessee, and should now be looking for a teaching job.

Congratulations go to Gus Conrades and Sarah Otis, engaged Homecoming weekend.

Mike Kanarick finished his job as substitute teacher and JV boys soccer coach at his old high school; now he and Mike Uram are on a six-month world tour. Mike hopes "obscure peoples (read: Dartmouth alums) will be willing to feed and bathe" them.

Shailan Shah is studying at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia. He reports he's made it through the "baptismal series of medical exams" during the orientation period. Bill Fearon and Amory Fiore are also studying at Columbia.

Disappointed to learn that "the real world does not operate by the D-plan," Sandy Yusen and Laura Jackson did find fall-term employment as "professional mailing label appliers and envelope stuffers" (read: interns) Sandy at the Seattle Group Theatre, and Laura at the the Seattle Children's Museum. Last I heard, Sandy was headed for Park City, Utah, for some non-career-related skiing, and Laura was headed for D.C.

"St. Croix is where I'd rather be..writes Colin Tucker, who's there waiting for the results of his law school applications. He's got a job on a scuba diving boat, but no address yet.

Carolyn Choi went to Costa Rica last month with the World Teach program to teach English for a year. After Costa Rica, Carolyn plans to apply to education graduate programs.

On their way to Steamboat, Wyo., for five months of "skiing, sun and general hanging out" are Robin Plager and Marge Worthington. They'll be living out there with SueMooney and they've invited the whole class out for spring break!

Becky Baggett's getting some great publishing experience as the one and only editorial assistant for Southeast Real Estate News magazine, located in Atlanta, Ga. Becky and one editor put the whole thing together each month. She writes that Tri Thornhill is working hard at the University of Florida Law School, which awarded him a full merit scholarship. Joan Slattery is in New York working for the juvenile section at Random House. Her roommates, Liz Portland, SandaLwin, and Tamar Schreibman all have publishing jobs too.

Wes Wang threw an incredible New Year's Eve party at the newly-opened Coyote Club at 76th and Broadway in New York. Plenty of '90s came from 'round the girdled earth to celebrate with Dartmouth friends who are on that long leave-term called "Life."

Trinity College, Cambridge, is where Michael Reynolds is working on his master's dissertation on King Rene's (15th c.) Order of the Crescent. Michael describes Rene as "a large, multi-chinned man with an endless appetite for art, literature, and obscure chivalric orders of knights." Hmmm ...

My most exotic postcard thus far comes from Chris Farrens, who decided to take a trip to Belize "to fly-fish forever." He says he'll be in a bar at night there until he runs out of money. No address is necessary" It's a small country."

My apologies to those of you whose letters I'm still holding on to. I'm trying to include as many of you as possible in each issue. Until next month . . .
