A hushed October morning mild, Thy leaves have ripened to the fall; Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild, Should waste them all. The crows above the forest call; Tomorrow they may form and go. A hushed October morning mild, Begin the hours of this day slow.

—From "October" by Robert Frost

I asked Jim Tillson '72 to write my column this month because I am stuck in a lengthy trial (four to six weeks) in Dekalb County, Ga. The defendants are charged with "fixing" D.U.I, tickets by stealing files. The State of Georgia is calling 256 witnesses to prove it.

Anyway, I asked Tillson to write the column because he is a gifted writer with loads of energy and a vivid imagination. I remember seeing him at the Dartmouth Princeton game in 1975. He was tracing the whereabouts of F. Scott Fitzgerald on the campus. Tillson now resides in San Rafael, Calif., where he is overseeing a building project, attempting to get his own home on the historical register, and planning to marry a women named Skipper in December.

He reports that Casey Vear '72 has returned from Thailand and is married with two young children. Peter Kneisel '72 is working for the C.I. A. in Thailand and we don't know if he'll ever return. Hill Blackett (Buzz) is practicing law in Berkeley, Calif., is married to a lawyer and has a son Hill Blackett IV.

Back in the class of 1974, congratulations to Stevan Sandberg, who was recently named senior vice president, secretary, and general counsel of Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. He will oversee the firm's legal department and have direct responsibility for its activities. More recently Steve spent five years with Rockefeller Group as assistant secretary and associate general counsel. Steve has also been an associate in the real estate department at Shearman & Sterling in Manhattan. Steve received his J.D. from Harvard Law School. He resides in Park Ridge, N.J., with his wife and two children.

David Von Loesecke has been promoted to the home office of the Foxboro Company from Los Angeles to the Boston area. He is an engineering manager for the General Process Industries Division.

Jeffrey Henault and his wife Laurie are celebrating the birth of their first child, Whitney Lynn, on May 1. Jeff is with Colt software technologies in Sugar Hill, N.H.

Rafael Castillo is in Lakewood, Colo. He is risk manager with Adolph Coors, Inc. He has just returned from being abroad for 13 years.

Johnie Tillman remains in the army and has recently married a fellow army officer, Sharon Martin. He is stationed in Augusta, Ga.

Charles Rosenthal has moved from New York City to Providence, R.I., with his wife, Carolyn, and daughter Celine. Charles is an interventional radiologist. He also Reports that David and Alison Highmark recently had a son, Christopher Russell.

Well that's the news for this month. So if you want to read more about our class (or you don't like poetry) then please write or call; $100 (all right $25) reward for good, solid, confirmable information on our class.
