WHEN CYRIL MUROMCEW '55 visited the Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic of Kambarka to inspect a Soviet chemical weapons facility last year, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs apparently didn't want him to see too much. Cy (at left) says this photo shows him "being quietly led away while laughing all the way." Cy's no spy, though—he was there with the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency.
No longer working full-time for the Agency, he now serves it as a consultant and works with U.S.-Soviet Joint Ventures on Destroying Chemical Weapons. Last March he went to Geneva to conduct bilateral negotiations on elimination of chemical weapons.
