"Gallia est omnis divisa in partes tres."Julius Caesar, just as all Gaul was divided into three parts, so youthful 1926 has three age brackets: "junior," 87 and under; "elder," 88 and 89; and "senior," 90 or over. Chairman Tubba Weymouth, at Kendal at Hanover, celebrated his "elder" birthday June 23 with complete offspring attendance: Clark Jr.'59 (Skip), Theodore '56 (Ted), and Harriet (Sis), who came all the way from Bern, Switzerland, leaving a ballet minus an accompanist. A rousing time was reported by BarbaraHayward Weymouth, bride of 22 years.
Hanover news also came from Les Talbot who recently celebrated his "junior" birthday. He and Dot will be in New Jersey to visit a new great-grandchild (mother Hilary Morse is their granddaughter). Later they will be at their grandson David Brown's wedding in Philadelphia.
George Leyser, retired civil engineer and '27 graduate of Thayer School, wrote that he and his wife, Ibra, are residents in a lifetime retirement community, which on the occasion of George's "junior" birthday provided the private dining room for a celebration party. He lives on Fox Run Road, Sarasota, Fla. Dartmouth sent George timely recognition of his 60th Alumni Fund contribution.
Having lived 48 years in their Upper Montclair, N.J., home, Jim and AnneWooster celebrated Jim's "junior" birthday in their new condominium, near their daughter Suzanne and family in Darien, Conn. Their son, James W. III '59, Concord, Mass., has two Dartmouth sons, James H. '84 and Charles '89, and a daughter in law, Laura Vail '83 .Jim and Anne plan to spend a week in Hanover near their son's new Norwich property.
